A little digger that couldn't turned a 20-minute job into two hours, a crane operator says.
Balgownie Cranes were lowering the digger down for stop bank work along Somme Parade yesterday , but it was sinking into the mud whenever they put it down. "We were just trying to find a hard spot to put it on and kept putting it down in the mud," said crane driver Ted Matthews.
"It was just a matter of overcoming obstacles."
The digger wasn't stuck in the mud, he said, and it was "just another day to day thing".
They later managed to find a dry spot for the digger, and get a second digger down as well.
