Martinborough has moved to a clear-cut lead in Bowls Wairarapa's McKenzie Motors men's sevens interclub competition.

At the completion of rounds three and four they had accumulated 74 points, seven more than second-placed Featherston on 64. Then came defending champions Masterton 53, Park 45, Greytown 44, Carrington 38, Eketahuna 29 and Lansdowne 14.

The second-tier Hannon-Knowles men's competition is led by Greytown with 66 points followed by Park 61, Masterton A 55, Carrington 50, Masterton B 37, Masterton C 36, Featherston 30 and Lansdowne 31.

Third and fourth-round matches in the McKenzie Motors women's interclub series were deferred because of a clash with representatives games.

Winners of the Nu View Wealth women's pairs, played at Masterton Bowling Club, were Makaia Campbell and Wendy Mitchell. Runners-up were Edith Kern and Brenda Whitehead. The Metlifecare men's pairs centre title was won by Neville Smith and Lester Dee. The plate section was won by Warren Wyeth and David Peterson.
