Masterton Cycling Club tested the versatility of their members when they staged two events in excellent conditions on Tuesday night, a 3km individual time trial on Watson's Road and a handicap road race over one lap of the Pakaraka circuit.
Forty-five riders presented themselves to the starter with the riders heading off at 30-second intervals in the time trial.
As expected Mark Langlands clocked fastest time from Jack Sowry with Brett Tulloch third.
Triathlete Sue Bankier was the quickest of the women followed by Lesley Mouat and Donna Burkhart.
Riders then relocated to Lakeview School for the start of the handicap road race over one lap of the testing and varied Pakaraka circuit. They were split into six groups with favourable handicapping enabling the first group of riders away to stay ahead of the field.
Line honours went to Mike Cohr from Grant Burkhart and Viv Bunny and once again it was Langlands who claimed fastest time. He had just one second to spare from archrival Jack Sowry.
