A violent fugitive who removed his electronic monitoring bracelet continues to evade police.
Jade Harris, 20, removed his bracelet on February 29 after appearing in Masterton District Court on a breach of his home detention.
Police said Harris could be travelling to Nelson where he had family.
Interisland ferries had been notified, but it was still possible he had crossed, police said.
Police yesterday issued a second appeal for sightings of Harris after a first appeal last week failed to locate him.
Masterton Senior Sergeant Gordon Crawley said Harris had been known to carry weapons in the past and should not be approached.
Harris is serving a sentence of home detention on a range of dishonesty and driving offences. He is European, 180cm tall and of medium build. He has a distinctive tattoo on the left-hand side of his neck and Roman numerals tattooed below his left eye.
Anyone with information should call the Masterton police station on (06) 370 0300 or 111, or call anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
