SPCA Wairarapa will be holding its first community adoption event of the year on Saturday.

Cats and kittens will be driven over the hill from Wellington, in the hopes of finding a home in Wairarapa.

All animals have been de-sexed, microchipped, had a first vaccination, flea and worm treatment.

The event will be at the Wairarapa Community Centre, 41 Perry St, Masterton, from 12pm-3pm. Adoption fees will apply, which will help the SPCA cover the costs incurred.
