THE Masterton Marauders marshalled their troops for the Wairarapa Two-Day-Match wargaming competition at the Deerstalkers Hall in Carterton last Saturday.

Lower Hutt's Peter Noble was victorious again this year, having taken out the top honour two years in a row.

Drew Fortune received a nod for the "best presented" army while Phil Gates of Greytown was voted "best opponent and finest chap there".

The wargaming tournament for ancient and medieval miniature armies ranged from 13th-century BC Trojans to 15th-century AD War of the Roses Lancastrians.
