Ladies of South Wairarapa are set to be uplifted at a Thursday night fundraiser, which will be filled with fashion, bubbly, canapes and "two very inspiring local women" as guest speakers.
St Teresa's School in Featherston is putting on the event, Inspiring Women, which will have a fashion parade and talks from author Joy Cowley and author and journalist Deborah Coddington.
School principal Jennifer Muth said the evening, organised by Friends of St Teresa's School, was to raise money to buy Chrome books (laptops) for the senior students and iPads for the junior classes.
All women will be handed a glass of bubbles on arrival, and complimentary canapes by Crescendo Cuisine will be circling the floor throughout the night.
Quality pre-loved fashion will be available for purchase and there will be a cash bar at the event, which will be held at Tarureka Estate.
"They very, very kindly donated their premises. It's amazing for a business to do that," said Mrs Muth.
"In the Featherston community, we all help each other out. Featherston people working together."
Mrs Muth said it would be "a really nice girls' night out" but there were limited tickets and they were selling out fast.
"If anyone wants one, they need to contact us as soon as possible, as we do have a set number," she said.
Tickets are available from St Teresa's School for $25 each.
