More than 100 guests packed the new Cobblestones Museum building for the second Greytown After 5 event.
The GA5 evening was held last week as a partnership between the Greytown Community Board and the Greytown Sport and Leisure Society, said society executive officer Dave Butler-Peck.
Cobblestones Museum, Greytown District Trust Lands and Destination Wairarapa sponsored the event, with Salute providing a voucher for the business card draw.
"The event was completed by Cahoots catering the food, the Greytown Hotel supplying the glasses, Greytown Early Years serving the guests and ex-Kuranui student, Jade Cvetkov, taking the photos, Mr Butler-Peck said.
"The evening provided an opportunity for guests from a range of businesses and community organisations in the town and region to network in a relaxed environment."
Greytown Community Board chairwoman Christine Stevenson thanked the more than 100 guests for attending the evening and introduced David Hancock, Destination Wairarapa general manager, Derek Wilson, Greytown District Trust Lands Trust chairman, and Cobblestones Museum trustees Graeme Gray and John Gilberthorpe.
Iain Stewart, owner of Briarwood Boutique Accommodation, won the business card draw and praised the GA5 event.
"It's great to meet new people and catch up with familiar faces. GA5s are a great initiative. I can't wait for the next one."
Mr Butler-Peck said the informal events were "fast becoming a regular fixture on the Greytown calendar".
"Feedback has been fantastic, with lots of offers to host future events," he said.
"The society is very happy to help organise future GA5s and is keen to hear from any businesses or organisations that would like host or attend an event."
