The reaction to the first announcement of acts to perform at the La De Da New Year's festival to be held in Martinborough has been "massive," according to organisers.
Festival director Josh Mossman said less than 200 earlybird tickets were still available following the announcement of the line-up last week.
"We're pretty stoked to have Shapeshifter for New Year's Eve," he said.
"They're the biggest live act in New Zealand in our opinion."
Electronic DJ Andy C is the major act at the second stage. "To have someone of his calibre headline the electronic stage is pretty special," said Mr Mossman.
Artist David Dallas is another major act the organisers are excited about.
"It's good to have some kiwi hip-hop in there," he said.
Mr Mossman said he had "never seen a reaction to a line-up quite like this".
Other acts to perform at the New Year's festival will be 1814, Concord Dawn and Dub FX.
La De Da's Facebook page had over 300 likes on a status with the announcement of a line-up and more than 80 comments on Thursday.
Natalie Hiri said: "Wicked David Dallas!!" and Aaron Nott posted "Nice boys looks epic.".
The festival will be held for the third time in Martinborough over the New Year.
