University won't be so daunting for six Wairarapa College students who have been awarded various scholarships to attend universities around the country next year.
Year 13 dean Beth Pottinger said the scholarships were highly sought after around the country. "We're thrilled to be able to have our students selected."
Students Aimee Cruz and Radhika Patel-Cornish were awarded Victoria University Excellence Scholarships, worth $5000 each.
"It's really exciting to see our hard work paid off," said Miss Cruz.
Royden McDermott has been awarded the Victoria University Achievers Scholarship, also worth $5000.
Judy Brown has been awarded a $4000 scholarship to attend the Tu Kahika programme at Otago University, and Olivia van der Veen was awarded an army scholarship to attend the same institute.
April Campbell earned herself a $3000 sports scholarship to Massey University. Final exams begin on November 10.
