Eventing New Zealand has released a statement from Mark Todd about sex and drug allegations carried in a tabloid newspaper.
The statement says that, during a lengthy meeting with lawyers in London, Todd was advised not to make any comments on the allegations levelled at him in Britain's Sunday Mirror.
The statement goes on to say Todd would like to sincerely thank everybody in New Zealand who has sent messages of support to him and his wife Carolyn.
It concludes quoting Todd as saying "we would be very grateful if we could be left alone to get on with our lives."
