RadioWorks managing director Steven Joyce is to step down from the helm of New Zealand's second-largest radio company.
Mr Joyce's resignation comes as RadioWork's new 100 per cent owner - CanWest Radio, a subsidiary of Canadian media company and TV3 owner CanWest Global Communications - moves to integrate the business with its other radio operation, the More FM group.
"They were keen to keep me on board," Mr Joyce said. "But if you've been pretty much rowing your own canoe as I have for the last several years, it's hard to take a back seat. I think I might have become frustrated and that wouldn't have been good for me or the company."
