LOS ANGELES - The Grinch keeps stealing the lead-up to Christmas at the American box office, the Jim Carrey movie spending its second week in the No 1 spot and taking $US27 million ($67 million).
The relatively lacklustre performance of Arnold Schwarzenegger's sci-fi adventure The Sixth Day, however, suggests the action star has lost some marquee value.
The top 10 moneymakers at US cinemas over the weekend were: 1 The Grinch, 2 Unbreakable, 3 102 Dalmatians, 4 Rugrats in Paris: The Movie, 5 Charlie's Angels, 6 Bounce, 7 Men of Honor, 8 The 6th Day, 9 Meet the Parents, 10 Little Nicky.
