Greg King farewelled

About 800 people have packed the Wellington Cathedral of St Paul in a farewell to prominent lawyer Greg King. Wellington District Court, where Mr King spent much of his legal career, has closed its doors for two hours today so court staff can pay their respects. King was involved in more than 40 murder trials, including the successful defence of Ewen Macdonald, who was accused of the murder of his brother-in-law Scott Guy, and the defence of Clayton Weatherston, who was found guilty of murdering Sophie Elliott. He leaves behind his wife Catherine Milnes and two daughters, Pippa and Millie.
