Patrick Cummins overcame Gian Villante in a bruising bout on Sunday at UFC on Fox 25 but you would not have guessed by the state the former was left in following the fight.
Cummins stunned fans just moments after his victory by posting a picture on social media of himself in the back of an ambulance, sporting a gruesome swollen left eye that was clocked by Villante in New York.
The 36-year-old captioned his post: '#AmbulanceSelfie one more time #ForTheLadies #UFConFOX25 Fight Of The Night.'
Villante managed to catch his opponent with plenty of jabs during Saturday's eventful bout. However, he failed to capitalise as Cummins' eye got worse.
Furthermore, Villante was able to rock his American counterpart at the death in the final round with a succession of right hand blows but failed to punish Cummins, who held on for a split decision victory.
Saturday's victory means Cummins has now recorded back-to-back wins for the first time as a UFC fighter since 2014.
Cummins wrote on his Twitter page afterwards: 'Solid guy right here. Thanks for the war Gian Villante, thought we deserved fight of the night #HugItOut.'
