If we bump into you on holiday, what are you most likely to be doing?
Lying on a hammock under a palm tree with my favourite book and an icecream or exploring the wilderness and wildlife. I love going on hikes and seeing waterfalls. Mother Nature constantly amazes me.
If we could teleport you to one place in New Zealand for a week-long holiday, where would it be?
Everywhere! I definitely need to see the Waitomo Caves and the glaciers. I also would love to check out all the beautiful beaches and do some island- hopping. And if I have any time left, I am desperate to see where they filmed The Lord of the Rings.
How about for a dream holiday internationally?
I am dying to go to Sinai in Egypt and see all the stars. I love star-gazing and have been told that there is nothing more incredible than looking out into the Sinai sky and seeing billions of stars.
What's the dumbest thing you've ever done when travelling?
I have forgotten my passport ... twice! And not only did I forget it, but I left it in Melbourne when I was flying out of Sydney both times. Now I just bring my passport everywhere just in case.
Complete this sentence: I can't travel without ... my runners, snacks and hand sanitiser.
What's the best travel tip you've ever been given?
Always keep a spare change of clothes, credit card and cash in all your travel bags just in case one piece of your luggage ends up on the other side of the world.
What was the most memorable meal you've had while travelling?
In Dubai, our translator offered to take us to his home and let his mother cook for us. It was the most incredible feast and such a wonderful experience to spend time with his family eating traditional food and listening to the ancient stories. He even played us a few songs on his oud. It was a very humbling and beautiful experience.
What's the best thing you've brought back from a trip?
My partner Adam. On my very first tour with Hi-5, we were given 10 free days off at the last minute to go wherever we wanted, so three of us headed to Thailand and island-hopped to Koh Samui. Adam was also island-hopping with his friends and he just happened to be from Melbourne too. Just shows that everything happens for a reason.
Favourite airport to land at?
Melbourne. There's no place like home.
