The plane: Boeing A380-800.
Class: Economy.
The seat: 83C and 83D. We were on board a double-decker aircraft and our seats were on the upper deck, right at the back of the plane next to the galley, which was handy for getting those cheeky snacks. Loved our seats and were chuffed to have our own two-seater row.
Price: Airfares were $1350 each including previous connecting flights.
Flight time: 5 hours and 45 minutes.
Food and drink: I thought the food on this flight was average in comparison to other Singapore Airlines flights I've been on. It seemed the vegetarian option was a better choice than the standard meal.
Entertainment: State-of-the-art entertainment systems and controllers featuring all of the popular new releases.
Clean screens.
My travelling pet peeve is grubby screens, tray tables and arm rests so I was pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness of this aircraft. Very tidy, nice and spacious.
Service: Superb - probably the best flight I've been on in terms of service. Thoroughly enjoyed the service and all the flight attendants were so attentive and thoughtful.
Toilets: Very clean, pleasant and supplied hand cream was a nice touch.
Fellow passengers: A mix of Indian honeymooners and expats on their way home.
Airport experience: I've heard great things about Changi International Airport in Singapore, but every time I pass through I'm disappointed. I'm not sure if I'm just always located in the "boring terminal", but aside from several interesting art features, I find the airport fairly average. I wouldn't rate it much higher than that of Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi.
Would I fly this again? Yes, flying with Singapore Airlines is always a good experience.
