The owners of this farmhouse on a working farm homestead in the Driftless area of Wisconsin can accommodate up to three people a night.
Guests are welcome to get involved in the workings of the farm, which is home to sheep, goats, steers, chickens, ducks, dogs, hogs and cats, and can even learn to milk a goat if they like.
Their farm-to-table breakfasts even use what the farm hands pick from the fields, including over one hundred varieties of vegetables and fruit. And they also cook with their own pork, beef, lamb and eggs.
It is set on the edge of a restored prairie, next to an oak wood and a three-minute walk from the Pecatonica River and a trout stream.
They also teach classes in healthy cooking, gardening, spinning, dyeing, felting and soapmaking.

This Victorian Country farm can accommodate up to four guests in two bedrooms a night and they also allow people to bring their own cats, dogs and horses.
Animals on the farm include four horses, a pony, sheep, chickens, ducks, and a couple of turkeys.
Depending on the time of year, guests can also help with bottle feeding lambs, sheering sheep. harvesting the garden or collecting eggs.
Horses and ponies are also available to ride and there are plenty of wild deer, hawks, ducks in the canal and the occasional fox or raccoon to spot.
The owners can also schedule a day's ride at Antelope Island where the buffalo roam free, or a ride up the Mountains of Logan Canyon or Hardware where elk and moose are often spotted.
Breakfast dishes include strawberry cream cheese stuffed French toast, cheesy scrambled eggs and home-grown bacon and sausages.

Guests are warned that the animals have the run of the house, but that they can keep them out of the bedroom if they wish.
