If you've ever had a holiday in Fiji you'll know all about the warmth and generosity of the locals - it's known as the happiest country in the world for a reason. Not even the fallout from category-5 Tropical Cyclone Winston, which hit the Pacific nation a couple of weeks ago, can break the resilience of its people, with many resorts back up and running already.

It's time for us to dig deep and give a little back to a place which has been a favourite holiday destination for so many Kiwis over the years. If you can't make it over there yourself any time soon and want to do something to help, here are the organisations to give money to.

How to donate

Red Cross
Tear Fund
