Small yardings in all classes sold well at yesterday's Stortford Lodge store sale.
There were about 90 cattle of mostly good quality. The best of the yearling steers made $4.06/head.
Ewes with terminal lambs at foot were also in good demand.
Buyers were from Hawke's Bay with one from Masterton.

Prime sale
Good prime lambs sold well as did lighter ewes at Monday's prime sale.
There were only nine cows in the cattle sale.
Ewe prices were steady for a small yarding but lighter ewes featured.
Prime lambs were strong in line with their quality.
