Anna Guy, the sister of murdered Feilding farmer Scott Guy, is about to give birth to her sixth child.
She is expected to give birth any day now and was unable to attend a recent family lunch held to commemorate the sixth anniversary of her brother's death.
Scott Guy was shot to death at the gate of the family farm in 2010.
Anna Guy's ex-husband Ewen Macdonald was arrested nearly a year after the killing but acquitted of murder in 2012.
The Guy family came together on July 8 for the anniversary.
"We had a lunch, just to remember Scott and recognise that it's been six years since the day he died," Scott Guy's father Bryan told Fairfax.
Anna Guy was unable to attend, as she is about to give birth to her sixth child - the second with Auckland partner Brent Jameson.
Writing on her mother Jo's website, Make Lemonade, about the pregnancy, Anna Guy said the human body continued to amaze her.
"Even after having five babies I still can't get over the feeling of my body being taken over being [sic] another human being. It's insane and pretty cool at the same time. And just when you think there's absolutely no space left and you can't possibly stretch any more it does. The human body is an amazing thing."
In a magazine interview earlier this year, she said this baby "will definitely be the last".
"I'm 35, my body can't take it anymore!"
Scott Guy's parents sold their farm in Feilding late last year and moved to a lifestyle block in nearby Colyton.
The anniversary lunch was the first family gathering since acquiring the property.
Scott's siblings, younger brother Callum and older sister Nikki attended the gathering with their families.
