Academic staff at AUT have ended a strike that caused a delay in the release of students' final grades.
Tertiary Education Union members at the university went on strike last Friday after rejecting a pay increase offer from AUT.
As part of the strike action, members refused to upload students' grades to the university's Arion database.
In a statement released today, the TEU said it was ending the strike after AUT increased its pay offer to 1.6 percent for the first year of the new collective agreement and 2 percent for the second year.
"We took action to get a better deal from AUT and, as a consequence of our actions, AUT has improved its salary offer," said branch president John Prince.
"We are now continuing all our duties and ending our action as an act of good faith."
He said the prompt action from AUT meant the action taken had not adversely affected students.
The union's negotiating team will formally present the new offer to members at a meeting at AUT today.
