Petrol heads will have a real taste of top karting action this weekend when the Auckland Kart Club stages the final of six rounds in the thrilling Top Half Series 2000 at Rosebank Domain in Avondale.
The meeting doubles as the final of the inaugural Rotax Max Challenge, held over six North Island tracks.
The challenge is for a new class of Karts, Rotax Max 125cc.
The series is being held worldwide, with the best 80 drivers pitting their skills in the world final at Puerto Rico in mid-November.
Four drivers will be invited to represent New Zealand at that final after Sunday's racing, one of whom will be the top over-40 driver.
