A celebrity showjumper, known for her role on the television show Keeping Up With The Kaimanawas, was taken to hospital with a concussion yesterday afternoon after falling from her horse.
Vicki Wilson was meant to feature with her sisters Amanda and Kelly at the inaugural Riding with the Stars event at Claudelands Arena in Hamilton last night.
But a late afternoon accident saw her miss the final showjumping event.
Amanda and Kelly Wilson, along with Alexa Dodson and the rest of their team, still competed however and closed the sold out event with The Wilson Show.
The show saw them recount the history of the wild Kaimanawa horses and how the Wilson family became involved with the animals.
The Wilson Show closed the two-night Riding with the Stars event.
On Friday night, top Australian and New Zealand showjumpers and dressage riders competed for a share of $16,000 in prize money.
Keeping Up With The Kaimanawas, shown on TV One, focuses on the three sisters as they are randomly allocated wild Kaimanawa horses, who have never been touched by humans, with the goal of training them in time for events.
