Fans of The Block NZ can look forward to an upcoming fourth season on TV3, with a new theme.
This year in The Block NZ: Villa Wars, new competing teams will focus on restoring old villas to their former glory.
The show will be hosted by Mark Richardson and new challenge host Your Home and Garden managing editor Shelley Ferguson.
"The Block NZ gets better every year, so I'm excited to see what 2015's competitors bring in terms of unique design and decorating styles," she says.
"I'm hoping the teams can express their individuality, while keeping the market firmly in mind and renovating for resale."
The villas featured on the show will be in dire need of renovation and Richardson says he's looking forward to seeing how the teams handle the challenge.
"I want to see a fight, a fair fight, but a good fight. The most important thing for our teams to remember is that The Block NZ is a competition," he said.
"If you look at the history of our show every year one couple, the couple who did the best job, walks away with a very handsome sum indeed."
The teams who will compete in The Block NZ: Villa Wars have yet to be announced.
Popular TV3 show The Bachelor NZ will also return for a second season, MediaWorks chief executive Mark Weldon confirmed to the Herald last week.
It is understood that Dancing With the Stars NZ will also return for a third season.
