They're in the serious business of news but the One News team showed they can still have a laugh, treating viewers to a surprise job swap on Friday night.
Mike Hosking took over Simon Dallow's role as newsreader, next to Wendy Petrie, leaving Dallow to introduce Seven Sharp for the night.
As he finished reading the sports news, Dallow turned to find the Seven Sharp co-host sitting in his chair.
"Hosking, get out of my seat!" he said in mock anger.
"Is it really your seat anymore, Simon?" Hosking deadpanned, while Petrie joked, "there have been a few changes".
Hosking pointed out the apparent differences between the seats on the two shows, telling Petrie: "This is nice and comfy".
Dallow returned the favour by joining Nadine Chalmers-Ross in previewing what was ahead on the 7pm show.
He walked off doing his best Hosking impression while the real
Seven Sharp
host took over.
Viewers seemed to enjoy the banter, sharing their feedback on Facebook.
Maxine Schultz wrote: "Was Great to see Simon & Mike having some fun last night. We need more of them."
Lynn Jarvis agreed: "Enjoyed the light-hearted banter tonight, having a few laughs guys."
Michelle Stevens: "This was really cool I liked it. made you all so human!"
