Just when TV fans didn't think they could take any more heartbreak, Aaron Paul from Breaking Bad played a pretty cruel prank on fans of the popular drama.
Paul, who played the young drug dealer Pinkman in the popular show, made a video on Periscope from his hotel room in Boston telling his fans that his character was about to get a spin-off show.
"Listen there's some super top secret news that I'm so proud to tell all of you. It's very exciting," he said.
Paul even went so far as to tell fans what the plot of this show was going to be, and that Breaking Bad's creator Vince Gilligan gave him the go-ahead to break the news to his 3000 Periscope followers.
"Oh man I can't believe I get to tell you all this: there will in fact be a spin-off for Jesse Pinkman's character in Breaking Bad, which is just phenomenal," he said.
"It takes place in Alaska so he has made it up to Alaska, but obviously people are still searching for him. He's in hiding."
It wasn't long after that Paul revealed it was all just a prank.
"And also I feel so bad, everything I just said was actually not true. I'm just bored in Boston and I wish it was April Fool's day but it's not," he said.
A few of his followers weren't too pleased and accused Paul of trolling them.
"Just got punked on Periscope by @aaronpaul--8 :-(" Tony Broderick tweeted.
"Aaron Paul just trolled 3,600 people on Periscope announcing that there will be a Jesse Pinkman spin-off. Just kidding! #breakingbad" DJ Booth tweeted.
Paul was forced to apologise, and used both Twitter and Periscope to do so.
"Sorry for the joke everybody. I love you all so much. Hugs and kisses," he tweeted.
He released a video apologising while also telling fans he was going to see Mad Max at the movies.
"So many people are so mad at me," he said in the video.
"But I want you guys to get excited about something I will be doing which will be announced tomorrow."
Paul had better make sure it's one incredible announcement.
