Robert Irwin, the 9-year-old son of Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin, is to co-host a show on Discovery Kids Asia.

Robert will be following in the footsteps of his late father and big sister Bindi when in front of the camera on the show Wild But True.

Steve Irwin died in 2006 after being injured by a stingray while filming on the Great Barrier Reef.

Yahoo News reported that Robert's show will be about how nature influences modern inventions. He said it was a "really, really cool concept" for a TV show.

Robert said his father, who called him Bob, "was really, really passionate in every single thing that he did. I think it's really important to carry on for what he did, so I'm really glad that that's what we're doing."
