Apple reportedly plans to move lower-end computers such as the Mac Mini to Intel chips next year and higher-end models like the Power Mac in 2007. Apple also uses Freescale semiconductor chips.
Spokesmen from Apple, IBM, Intel and Freescale declined to comment.
