Independent musicians Tommy Ill and Dictaphone Blues' Edward Castelow both inked distribution deals with EMI for their latest albums New Hat and a Haircut and Beneath the Crystal Palace, but the major label connection hasn't altered their independent spirit.

For Talking Heads, Tom and Ed talked creative process, failed relationships and their poisons of choice.
