The Stratford New World Colts rugby team put a far better performance in this week when they took on Inglewood.
The boys were pretty disappointed with last week's game and put in the hard yards at practices this week to improve on the parts of our game that are letting us down.
We started well and brought real intensity to the game, the forwards were making good meters and the backs were getting a lot cleaner ball. However we did have a bit of try line fever when we were close to the line on several occasions and turned the ball over several times before we eventually got over the line.
Our defence was extremely good and when Inglewood were camped on our try line right on half time we were able to keep them out and were 15-3 at half time.
Our second half got off to bad start losing a man to the bin early and with Inglewood trying to capitalise on the situation the boys had to work hard on defence to shut Inglewood out. They came back at us several times during the second half but our defence was just too good and we ran away to a good win running in 5 trys, 4 conversions and a penalty. Final score 34-3 to Stratford.
