A chocolate cake with purple flowers was the centrepiece for a pretend wedding held at Inglewood Kindergarten last Wednesday.
Joel 'Fish' Ujdur, 4, tied the knot with Meela-James Batten, 4, during the ceremony which took place in front of parents, teachers and kindergarten children.
Replicating scenes from real weddings, Meela and Joel threw the bouquet together before cutting the cake and enjoying the wedding lunch which included pizza, sausages, cupcakes, fruit and pies.
Wedding invitations were sent out for the event which the youngsters had planned to include their favourite things with the help of the teachers and parents.
Meela was walked down the flower-lined aisle in her long white gown towards Joel who was swearing a silver tie. The kindy community chipped in for the big day with Donna Goble making the cake and marriage celebrant Michelle Jackson performing the marriage.
"They have been planning their wedding with the help of the teachers and have learnt the art of compromise which means they have listened to each other and what each other wants," she said during the ceremony.
The vows included Joel committing to making sure there was cake for Meela to eat during parties and for Meela to promise to cook sausages for Joel even though she didn't really like them.
After the ceremony, the pair signed a marriage certificate and everybody danced to the song Can't Stop the Feeling from the Trolls movie.
Joel's mum Kylie Ujdur says Joel was calm and relaxed about the wedding and counting down the sleeps. The kindy dads had a "stag do" where they ate pizza at kindy the night before.
Meela's mum Lara Batten says her daughter had been counting down the days and nights to the wedding.
"She has a pretend phone at home and she would text Joel at night and tell him she loves him."
