Kid's Day at the Stratford TSB Pool made a splash last Wednesday with almost 200 children joining in the fun.

Pool manager Andrea Wilkie says the school holiday event was a fantastic afternoon.

"It was a great opportunity to bring the family down and win some awesome prizes sponsored by local businesses."

Children of all ages competed in Manu and mini Manu competitions, climbing wall races, Aquarun races and got to enjoy a sausage sizzle.

Andrea says the afternoon was a success thanks to Stratford New World, Stratford Subway, Central Butchery Stratford and Best For Less for supporting the event.

The next big event for the pool will be the Halloween Pool Party on October 30, which, as well as a dress up competition will also include face painting, lolly scrambles and a sausage sizzle.
