The Stratford Scout and Guide den was transformed on Sunday for the "Greatest Circus Event Ever", an activity day for all Brownie-aged girls in the region.
Co-ordinator Michelle Kivell says it was a wonderful day out for the girls, with more than 50 aged between seven and nine attending the event which was full of circus-themed activities including face painting, juggling, spinning plates, making clown hats and pinning the nose on the clown.
Michelle says it was the first time that Girl Guides Taranaki had hosted such an event, "but we will definitely be looking into running it again, we've had a great response from the girls and their families".
Kodie Murfitt (8) has just joined the Stratford Brownie group and says "it was fun to be able to meet lots of new girls and make some new friends". Kodie's favourite parts were making her own juggling balls and having her face painted.
Keisha McAlister-Bourke (8) also enjoyed making the juggling balls. "I'm not that great at juggling but it was still a lot of fun making them."
