The Mellowpuff First XV continues its unbeaten reign after a 63-5 win against Toko Rugby Club on Sunday afternoon.
The Toko ground was full of supporters for the annual match and Terry Long of the Mellowpuff Trust says he is, as always, overwhelmed by the show of support from the Toko community.
The annual match, hosted by the Toko Rugby Club for the past two years, donates all proceeds to the charitable trust.
Damian Wilson, Toko Rugby Club president, says the club always looks forward to the event.
The Mellowpuff Trust is a fantastic organisation which helps so many local children, we are happy to support it in any way we can".
Damien says the event is well supported by the community, as well as many local businesses, "we have been donated heaps of prizes to auction off and all the proceeds will also go to Mellowpuff".
Terry says the Mellowpuff Trust is grateful to the Toko club, "there is always such a great atmosphere in the club rooms and we truly value all the support".
While Terry says he selected the Mellowpuff team - made up of a mix of players varying in age and ability - to evenly match the Toko side, Damien suggested that Terry carefully selected "all the best players from around the district".
"We did our best but they were definitely the better side."
