Property arrests
On September 3, a 14-year-old boy from Mania was arrested and referred to Youth Aid after the alleged theft of $15,000 four-wheeler farm bike.
A 30-year-old Eltham man was arrested for shoplifting on September 8 after allegedly stealing two casks of wine; he was bailed to appear in Hawera District Court.
Breach charge
On the evening of September 9, a 45-year-old man was arrested and charged with breaching a police safety order after allegedly returning to the address of an earlier domestic assault.
Police are continuing inquiries in connection with an assault outside a local pub on September 8, where an 18-year-old man suffered cuts to his face and eye.
Excess breath alcohol
On September 6 a 26-year-old Eltham man was processed for excess breath alcohol after being stopped on Orlando Street Stratford. After failing to provide a sample for the breathalyser a blood sample was taken. He is summoned to appear in Hawera District Court.
A 20-year-old Stratford man was also processed for excess breath alcohol on September 7. He is summoned to appear in Hawera District Court.
In the early hours of September 8, a 41-year-old Waitara woman was processed for driving with excess breath alcohol, in connection with a crash into a Stratford business premises, which caused a power outage.
Damage
On that same evening two Stratford vehicles had windscreens smashed at two separate addresses.
