THINGS got extra musical this week at St Joseph's Stratford after the school's Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and parish priest, Father Brian Carmine purchased four shiny new guitars for the schools' talented guitar group.
The PTA was always going to get three right-handed guitars for the group but, because guitar music contributes so much to Masses held at the parish church, Father Brian organised the additional purchase of a left-handed guitar for the school with wider parish funds.
There are 18 guitar students under the tutorship of Kevin Ryan and Miriam Van der Lee at the school and everybody involved with the classes is enormously appreciative for the donation.
