This Sunday will see another family fun day at Inglewood's Jubilee Park.
The event, run by Inglewood Christian Fellowship, offers free events, fun and food for all who come.
The concept came about last year when local resident Kaarena Kingi decided to run a free event to encourage families to spend time together playing and having fun.
At the time he said that lots of children he came across in his work were sad because their parents didn't play with them much.
I understand that parents have to make money, but sometimes we need to spend time with them.
This year, parents, grandparents, aunties, uncles and friends are all invited to come along to the rugby field next to the swimming pool at Jubilee Park in Inglewood.
The event runs from 3-6pm, with a wide range of events and fun activities on offer. "Come along for loads of fun," event team spokeswoman Phillippa Kingi says.
"Free sausages, games, live music, family challenges, skateboard display and dog agility show. Even prizes to be won."
The event is free; the only thing organisers ask you to spend on your children is time. They ask that families come along, bring a picnic if they want, and focus on having fun with their children for the afternoon.
