This stomach-churning footage shows the moment a large snake bit off a little more than it could chew and regurgitated five birds.
The gruesome video, which was filmed in South-East Asia, appears to show a Burmese Python expelling its over-indulgent meal shortly after ingestion.
In the clip a man holds onto the reptile - a pair of feet belonging to a large bird are visible sticking out of its mouth.
This action appears to startle the snake, which then begins to recoil and move backwards on the spot, all the while it extends its jaw and opens its mouth as wide as possible.
All of a sudden the legs begin to move out of the snake's mouth and the entire body of a bird is revealed lying lifeless on the ground.
Humorously a dog wanders over to the snake for a closer look and appears to be as stunned as any human viewer.
The python continues to move backwards expelling birds onto the floor - each of them flop lifelessly onto the ground.
Later the snake regurgitates a fourth and fifth bird in quick succession before the man pulls the reptile over towards him.
The video concludes with the dead birds lying sprawled on the floor and the snake no doubt feeling a little lighter.
Snakes generally regurgitate their food shortly after ingestion when they become stressed or startled.
They do so for survival purposes as the removal of weight allows them to escape or fight back if necessary.
The action differs to vomiting in that the prey being regurgitated by the snake has not yet been digested by the predator.
