Forecast: East of Farewell Spit to Hawera: Southwest rising to 20 knots this morning, becoming southeast 25 knots early this evening, then easing to 15 knots tonight. Elsewhere: Southwest 25 knots. Sea rough at times. Southwest swell in the west, rising to 3 metres. Westerly swell in the east, 2 metres developing. Fair visibility in a few showers, mainly in the west.
Outlook: Outlook following 3 days: Southwest 25 knots but southeast 15 knots in the east, all dying away Sunday. Developing Monday northwest 25 knots. Sea rough at times. Moderate southwest swell in the west.
