JOHANNESBURG - Pierre Spies will miss South Africa's European tour this month because of a broken finger.
SA Rugby officials said today that Spies was injured playing for the Blue Bulls during the Currie Cup. He had surgery yesterday.
The Blue Bulls beat the Cheetahs in the Currie Cup final Sunday (NZT).
Sharks flank Jean Deysel was called up to replace Spies.
