Review: Russell Baillie
Cali-punk big-wigs the Offspring could be accused — like a few bands in their position — of regularly putting out the same album under different names.
But like this, their sixth, at least they're reliably spirited affairs usually containing many a toe-tapping punkpop anthem or two, displaying a keen sense of humour.
That's apparent here especially in tracks like Million Miles Away (amusingly New Wave), Special Delivery (hilariously the Cult), Vultures (comically Nirvana). Add the single Original Prankster (their old hit Gotta Keep'Em Separated with new punchline) and a brace of Ramones-paced quicksteppers (One Fine Day's ode to blokey boorishness being the best) and you've got quite a lot of fizzy, fuzzed-up fun.
