Aucklanders will have the best-looking homes in the country if all those who flocked to the 20th Auckland Home Show act on the ideas they pick up at the event.
The five-day homes extravaganza - which claims to be the biggest show of its kind in Australasia - provided everything for building, furnishing, designing and decorating the home.
A host of products, designs, trends, and techniques - ranging from spa baths to vacuum cleaners to pottery - were being promoted and hawked at the event.
Heather Kershaw, of Ardmore, said this was the fifth year she and her husband had attended.
"We are in the process of trying to buy a new house so there is heaps of stuff we need," she said.
'We always come to the show because you just get really great ideas and go home all inspired to get to work."
The family had spent almost two hours taking in all the exhibits.
The show finished yesterday at the Auckland Showgrounds, Greenlane. Its 500 exhibitors attract 60,000 visitors annually.
