Power supply returned to normal in Fiji yesterday after two months of daily blackouts caused by rebels sympathetic to coup-leader George Speight.
The guerrillas overran Fiji's only hydro-electric station at Monasavu on July 6. The station supplies three-quarters of the country's demand.
The rebels left the station three weeks ago but the area was considered too dangerous for electricity workers.
