Crack apprentice Michael Walker has his sights clearly on Lance O'Sullivan's record season tally of 162 wins after posting his century at Pukekohe this week.
Walker's 100 wins for the season came up aboard Arurite on Wednesday but he had little time to celebrate as he had a busy day at the Cambridge trials yesterday.
Walker's employer, Taranaki trainer Allan Sharrock said the youngster was happy to have achieved the century but is far from confident he can break O'Sullivan's record which was achieved in the 1996-97 season.
"Michael could be travelling overseas quite a bit in the next few weeks and that will limit his opportunities," Sharrock said.
Walker could be riding at the Sydney and Brisbane winter carnivals and will represent New Zealand at Macau.
