The top two seeds will meet as expected in the boys' and girls' national 18s singles finals at the North Harbour tennis centre.
Moved indoors because of rain, the girls' final will be a replay of last year, with local player Tanja Markovic, 16, taking on 18-year-old Diane Hollands.
Last year Hollands won. However, Markovic is the higher seed this time and could give the Otago player some headaches.
Markovic easily accounted for fourth seed Laura Puch, of North Harbour, for the loss of just two games, 6-1, 6-1, and Hollands, who last week reached the semifinals of the Auckland championships, beat Canterbury's Charlotte Bellis 6-2, 6-4 to reach the final.
The move indoors was a bonus for top seed Jacob Olsen in the boys' draw. Olsen was able to outpower unseeded Cantabrian James Redpath in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2, on the faster indoors surface.
G. D. Jones struggled at first in his semifinal against unseeded Western Bay of Plenty player Gareth Dowdell before charging back for a 6-4, 6-2 win.
