Crusaders coach Scott Robertson has named a reshuffled backline to take on the Highlanders in Saturday's round-two Super Rugby clash in Dunedin.

Former New Zealand under-20 rep Mitchell Hunt will start at five-eighth after playmaker Richie Mo'unga had broken a bone in his left hand in last week's 17-13 win over the Brumbies.

Israel Dagg shifts from fullback to the right wing, with David Havili taking over the No.15 jersey.

Jack Goodhue and Ryan Crotty reprise their partnership in the centres, while Seta Tamanivalu will start on the left wing.

Robertson has made two changes in the forwards. All Blacks hooker Codie Taylor will start with Ben Funnell to make his impact from the bench, and Matt Todd returning to No.7 with Jed Brown on the bench.

Crusaders: David Havili, Israel Dagg, Jack Goodhue, Ryan Crotty, Seta Tamanivalu, Mitchell Hunt, Bryn Hall, Whetu Douglas, Matt Todd, Jordan Taufua, Sam Whitelock (capt), Scott Barrett, Owen Franks, Codie Taylor, Joe Moody.

Reserves: Ben Funnell, Wyatt Crockett, Michael Alaalatoa, Luke Romano, Jed Brown, Mitchell Drummond, Marty McKenzie, George Bridge.
