Kiwi NBA sensation Steven Adams helped the Oklahoma City Thunder to a fast start, but could not get them home in a 94-98 loss to Milwaukee Bucks today.
Adams finished the game with 20 points, eight rebounds and two blocks, making his first eight shots and both attempts from the free-throw line.
He scored the Thunder's first four points and then assisted on a Russell Westboork three-pointer, as the visitors sprinted to an early 22-9 advantage. Adams finished the opening quarter with 12 points.
Oklahoma City led 56-50 at half-time, but lost their grip on the contest in the third quarter, as the Bucks swept past on a 13-2 run.
Westbrook, chasing his 17th triple double of the season, fell short with 30 points, seven rebounds and six assists, shooting just 9/28 from the floor.
The Thunder are now 21-14 for the season, scheduled to face the Charlotte Hornets on Thursday (NZ).
