A new year and new aspirations for one of world tennis' most promising talents.

World number 47 Ana Konjuh will start 2017 in Auckland when she lines up for the ASB Classic.

19 year old Konjuh missed last year's tournament due to injury and says she's excited to be back in Auckland.

She says she had a good off season and preparations are coming along well with her main goals to remain healthy and play her best tennis.

Konjuh will meet Belgium's Kirsten Flipkens in her tournament opener.
