Ravindra Jadeja was unbeaten on 70 runs, while Jayant Yadav was batting on 26 not out. The hosts lead by 71 runs.

Starting from their overnight 271-6, Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin (72) added another 30 runs to their seventh wicket partnership. In total, they added 97 runs and helped India cross the 300-mark in the 93rd over.
